But they have a committee who'd have to agree to sell a player for that reason wouldn't they?
If the committee is strictly inbound transfers only, and the manager is free to sell players, that wouldn't make any sense would it?

I'm struggling a bit with that too, Onners.
Wouldn't be my first choice, but we have to be realistic. We won't get the French lad, and if Bilic fancies he could get the best out-of Benteke, he gets you a goal every other game.
Benteke, Carroll, Sakho, and another forward with pace, I'd be very happy with that.

Rodgers aimed Carroll out because he simply didn't rate him and found his attitude questionable I believe.
He pretty much said as much in his first press conference as manager.

He scored plenty of goals in a poor villa side. Have him playing around the likes Lanzini, payet and Antonio and he will be a 20 goal a season player for us.

The crazy thing with Liverpool is that they try to aspire to a style then bring in totally the wrong striker to spearhead it - then blame the striker
At what point do the clowns on the buying committee realise that if you want to play Barca light you dont buy AC, Lambert and then Benteke?
Strikers graveyard that place and now we have the high press under Klopp, once again not suited to his primary striker.
Put Benteke in at Leicester and you have a totally different player, possibly at ours too

I liked him at Villa and looked impressive, could see why Liverpool splashed the cash on him, since his move though, for the most part, works hard but doesn’t get a lot of reward for it, not sure we should be after him, especially as we already have Carroll, so unless he is off I cant see it happening, plus im not sure he’s the sort of player Slav would bring in anyway, but hey WTF do I know.

I for one think he would be a good fit for us. His goal scoring record is far better than anyone we currently have and sorry to say it but Lacazette and Batty are going to go to c/l clubs. Benteke is the best we can get.
